"The Carriage" by Jena Baxter is a romantic tale about the discovery of love and self-identity through adversity and sibling rivalry. On a trip in NYC, Alexis is sent through time by her sister, Brooke. There in the 17th century, she meets the tall and ruggedly handsome, Ezra, who isn't quite human having been murdered out of greed by his own brother, Amos. But out of intrigue and gentlemanly courtesy, Ezra decides to help Alexis, where they find that despite their differences in customs and beliefs separated by a few centuries, love can blossom in the thickest part of the foggiest woods.
With vivid details and stylistic story telling, Ms. Baxter delivers a heartwarming story about love and bravery that transcends through time.
This is my favorite by Jena Baxter so far. She has a brilliant way of painting her characters and scenery, mixing modern and vintage, with romance and mystery. Delve into The Carriage fall in love with Alexis and Ezra just like I did.
I loved this book Alexis and Ezra perfect. I started crying close to the ending but thankfully everything turned out perfect. cant wait till the next book in this series.
